The covenants of God are simply nonnegotiable... King Saul, like the Jews, found this out the hard way, and the rest of the world is following close behind them. A ship drifting in port, without any moorings, is safer and much less dangerous than trying to renegotiate the covenants of God.

God always keeps His part and extends grace to those who trust Him and His mercy to fulfill theirs role through faith and obedience. But nonetheless... His covenants are nonnegotiable, and when men do not seek Him or His mercy, by faith, they will be left empty handed in the end. It's His way or no way...

A changed heart is the beginning of a new life and the death of what was... but it's not the conclusion or the end of the story. A new heart that's not nurtured and cultivated in grace and truth will only lead to a wayward heart filled with poor decision making skills, lies and falsehood, foolish mistakes, and troubling spirits to name just a few...
