Submit Yourselves to God; Be Clothed With Humility

SUBMIT yourselves unto the elders whom God has called to guide and govern you and teach you in God's Word. --
Peter's charge: Obey your elders willingly; put yourselves under their spiritual rule and submit yourself to them in obedience to Christ!
--For any Born-Again Christian to refuse to submit to the government which Christ has set up in His church, is to be disobedient to the Lordship and rule of Christ! ---
If you believe God has called your elders/overseers to lead the flock of God here, submit yourselves to them as if you were submitting to Christ, for they watch for your souls!
--Submit yourselves one to another in the fear of the Lord!
--Cast off pride and arrogance and be clothed with the grace of humility!
--Never forget that God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.
