Acts 9:17-19; Baptism, What It Does, and Who Does It

This message briefly touches on two points: What baptism does, and who may administer it. Is the Word of God our sole means of faith and practice? If this were true we would realize the simplicity of this ordinance. Is there any efficacy in baptism? Can it wash away sin and change the nature of a sinner? Then, can we believe the record of Scripture about who it is that may administer baptism to a repentant and believing sinner in Jesus Christ? There isn't a church of the Lord Jesus Christ that cannot keep this ordinance whether they are a house church or a church that meets in a building dedicated for that purpose. In spite of the clear truth of the Word of God on this subject many will prefer their traditions and religious practices. But our church constitution should ever be, 'Thus saith the Lord!'
