The Kingdom Has Come Near

We begin a six week series of talks today entitled, 'The Kingdom is Among You'. This will involve John Dunkley, Ray Bell, James Krieg and Grant Thorpe.

When Jesus Christ came among us, the reign or kingdom of God was at a 'must choose' stage. One had to be for or against this kindly and restorative reign of God that was being revealed. Clearly, Israel failed this test and killed their King. But now, this King is the Lamb, raised from the dead and announcing forgiveness to those who killed him. The urgency Jesus expressed to his disciples is upon us again, but this time, it is being announced to all nations. It is an announcement of peace, bringing great joy to the messengers, but heralding the doom of Satan. The reign of God is still being challenged and this keeps us longing for the time when the kingdom will be fully revealed.
