But Now — To Demonstrate His Righteousness

As Paul begins to lay out the truly good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He tells us that it is a work that is all of God, for His glory, according to His righteousness, according to His justice. After letting us know that our justification is by faith in the propitiatory work of Jesus' sacrifice, Paul then goes on to remind us that this work of God's grace is ultimately, foremost, above all things for God's glory, to display His righteousness, to exalt His Holy character. He is the Great I AM, the unchanging One, and the weight of His Righteousness and Glory on made manifest at the cross of Jesus Christ His only begotten Son.
