Heresy of Overcoming by Works

46 ( 40 | 6 )

Romans 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

II . Overcome Defined: A Battle of Life and Death The term 'overcome' doesn't just imply victory. Sometimes, it means a battle that could result in death (Revelation 11:7, 13:7, 17:14).
These verses remind us of the spiritual warfare that constantly rages around us. The battles are real, but with Christ, the victory is assured.
III. Promises/Blessings to Overcomers: God calls us to overcome and promises eternal rewards to those who overcome. In these verses, the Spirit beckons us to listen and comprehend the immeasurable rewards waiting for those who have overcome. These aren't just spiritual victories but promises of eternal rewards and co-reigning with Christ.
