The Word of God

You'e probably read, perhaps even memorized, Hebrews 4:12, maybe in a lesson about the Bible. But have you considered its terse and vivid teachings in connection with verse 13, and with the rest of the context of the extensive warning that it completes? This familiar verse is not simply a lesson about God's word, it's a warning about the futility of rejecting God's word! i.) The penetrating power of God's word (v.12); ii.) The unmasking power of God's gaze (v.13).
