It is hard to imagine that Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus would become disciples who would risk their lives for the sake of esteeming Jesus. What a great reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God. But why would they risk it all for the sake of Jesus Christ? Firstly, because they had a change of mind that led to a change of direction. Secondly, and more importantly, Isaiah 53:9 required it to be so.
