I Have Overcome

Jesus closed His final discourse with the disciples by telling them that soon He would no longer need to speak to them in what they perceived to be unintelligible speech (obscure utterances). In that day, they would know to ask the Father for what they needed directly. They also needed to understand that the Father's love for them was conditioned on their obedience to Him.
