Following Christ - Denying Self

"And when he had called the people into him with his disciples also, he said unto them, 'Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me,'" (Mark 8:34). What did Christ mean when he said "deny himself"? As followers of Christ how do we apply this to our life? J Vernon Magee once said "you only see yourself when you read the Word of God; it's the only mirror we have." In this lesson, we'll look into that mirror and examine what it means for the Christian to deny self.
