Not only is election unto salvation plainly taught in the Scriptures, but we find that it is unconditional. Unconditional election is that those whom the Father chose to save in eternity were chosen according to the purpose of God, to the praise of His glory, and according to the counsel of His will. There was not anything in man to cause God to choose one person and not another.
