To Steal A Blessing

At best, Jacob shows himself to be a reprehensible character seeking to gain the advantages of the birthright and blessing in his own power. But as Thomas Watson said, “God can make a straight stroke by a crooked stick.” Jacob and his mother cook up a devious plan to fool blind Isaac. To carry out the plan, Jacob will resort to blasphemy. But no matter how disastrous his actions may be for himself personally, God uses Jacob to carry out his plan of redemption.
