CCM in Church Worship - Form and Formalism

The question of Christian Contemporary Music in the church worship service has been troubling for many churches that are trying hard to knit the generations together in the worship service and maintain some respect for their past musical heritage. The new crowd is rejecting the old formalism in church worship, but does that mean they will reject all form? Does God require fear and reverence in His worship, or would He rather stick with informality? Some church attendees might be hesitant to tremble before God in the worship service for fear of spilling their Starbucks caramel latte.
