The Day of His Anger

The wrath of God is a fearful reality, real because he is personal, and holy and just. Observing this wrath, Jeremiah knows it is just, but still he is moved to tears, and from tears to prayer, knowing that God is gracious as well. We see in Jeremiah's tears a picture of the grace of God, and are led to the foot of the cross.
