STEPS OF SIN: LOOK, LUST, YIELD, HIDE, PAY
1)First you look; 2)Then you lust; 3)Then you give in; 4)Then you try to cover up; 5)Finally you pay the consequences. We see this pattern in David, in Achan, in Joseph's brothers, in Adam & Eve. The Bible says we can prevent sin by dealing with it in steps 1 & 2. Barney Fife says, "Nip it in the bud."
