Jesus Only Saves Sinners

In the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector we have perhaps the greatest example in the bible of the centrality of the doctrine of Justification by Faith Alone in the proclamation of the Gospel. Christ did not come to teach men how they might cooperate in their salvation, or how by obedience to the law we might obtain salvation as a reward, he came to save those who know that they are poor, wretched, sinners without hope save in Him.
