The overwhelming teaching that is found in God's Word about money is to warn saved people of the danger that wealth and financial prosperity brings to our soul. The Puritans taught that how a man tends to his money is how he tends to the things of God. You show me a person who cannot control his spending and is irresponsible with money, and I will show you a man that is unfaithful to God.
