The Blessed Security of the Lord's Sheep

Is it possible for someone to lose his or her salvation?

Many of us have known people who professed faith in Christ and then denied Christ. You may have known others who claim to be converted but their lives have never changed. They might even claim to have Jesus as Savior, but not as Lord of their lives.

John 10:27-29 is the classic text in Scripture teaching the perseverance of the saints. Jesus’ sheep hear His voice and follow Him. He gives them eternal life and no-one can snatch them away from Him. Some have said that the perseverance of the saints (sheep) is because of the perseverance of the Savior (Shepherd).
