The Sacrifice Of Christ For His People Part 1

In this sermon we deal with the design of Christ's death on the cross & it's application. In these days this doctrine is very controversial. There are many who teach that Christ in his death made an atonement for the whole human race, including those who were already in hell when he died. Some have modified this view by saying there was no need for an atonement for those who were already in hell, but he died for all the rest. Either way, I believe the Scriptures are very clear on the matter. And we deal with some of the Scriptures used to support this idea. We make a stand on this subject that proclaims from the Scriptures that Christ's death had a definite purpose. That purpose was to redeem those whom God had given to Him in the covenant of His grace. By this doctrine the Church is made to know how special to God that they are in this world in Christ. We hope that all who hear this sermon will consider the Scriptures on this matter apart from tradition.
