If Christ is with us always, then why does He often seem so distant? Why is there such a wide gap between the joyful, purposeful Christian life we read about in the New Testament, and the “just-trying-to-survive” life so many Christians experience? Our magnificent Savior has promised to show Himself to those who love Him. “… he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him" (John 14:21, NKJV). Love for Christ is our highest privilege and duty; its decay robs us of the enjoyment of His faithful presence. In this sermon we will consider: Taking God at His Word: “I will manifest Myself…”
