PLEADING FOR GOD’S PRESENCE
TEXT: Ps. 130:1-4

SUMMARY: In a day of superficial solutions and formulas for every problem and condition, Psalm 130 teaches the necessity of a constant dependence on God, as it considers our continual need for His presence, His hearing, and His mercy.

I. A CONTINUAL NEED FOR HIS PRESENCE, v. 1.
A. "Out of the depths."
B. “I have cried.”
C. “To You.”

II. A CONTINUAL NEED FOR HIS HEARING, v. 2.
A. Yearning for His Presence.
B. Assurance in Him Alone.

III. A CONTINUAL NEED FOR HIS MERCY, vv. 3-4.
A. Only God is the Final Judge for Our Sins.
B. Only God Can Offer Forgiveness.
C. Only God Deserves to be Feared.
