Why We Can Trust God Part 7 - His Faithfulness
Series Trusting God
When we are overwhelmed with the difficulties of life, it often appears that He is not in control or His control is not taking things in a direction that we like or are comfortable living under. Since God intends that we walk by faith and not by sight we must know just Whom we are trusting in. Of primary importance is our understanding of His perfect character. Here we are looking at God’s awesome faithfulness which is unchanging and unending. We live in the midst of the wreckage of man’s ongoing unfaithfulness so it is inexpressibly wonderful to know and trust our perfectly faithful God for all things. He is always faithful to His own perfect character and to every promise He makes. Here we look at His faithfulness in fulfilling His Word to Israel concerning the command to rest the land every seventh year. The Lord made sure that the land did get its rest, the rest that Israel failed to give it every seventh year.
