Troubled Leadership

When every man does what is right in their own eyes...

We coupled the closing days of Jesus' life on earth and how He endured such hostility against Himself and the failure of leadership we find in Judges after the generation of leaders died in Joshua's day. They lost their identify that had been so gloriously established in the lives of men like Joshua and Caleb. And when a people operate without strong Godly leadership and solid biblical principles they lose their IDENTITY as a people that belong to the Lord. The word tells us how quickly they turned to living like the world and how unsettled and distressed the nation became when God stopped fighting for them and begin to chastise them for their waywardness.

"...they turned quickly from the way (of the kingdom)... and when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was WITH the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies" (Judges 2:17-18).

His presence and favor upon the judge made the difference in the nations life and livelihood. And it still does today.
