Unnecessary Recreations?

The Westminster Shorter Catechism Q.60 states that we should rest from all unnecessary recreations. That phrase was put there for historical reasons. The Book of Sports was commanded by the King to be read in all churches. The puritans and Westminster Assembly wanted to do away with it.
