'Nuggets From Genesis' Pt3

On the Bible study recently, we visited Genesis 24 where we saw the amazing connection between Eleazar meeting Rebekah at the well with a pitcher of water, and the mysterious man with the pitcher of water leading the disciples to the upper room for the Last Supper. Genesis is a huge book, and this was really just a tasty nugget for us to dive into and feast on. So with that in mind, tonight we start our multi-part series of gleaning more of these nuggets from Genesis as the Holy Spirit would lead us to uncover.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1 (KJB)

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, going 6,000 years back into the past, in the very beginning of Genesis, God has placed a wonderful and amazing type of the New Testament Church in the creation of Adam and Eve. For the "first Adam", God fashioned him a bride out of his own body. For the "last Adam" which 1 Corinthians tells us is Jesus Christ, God has done exactly the same thing. He has given Him a body from which He also has created a Bride. Starting with Eve, we will seek to uncover the 9 different types of the body of Christ the Holy Spirit has placed in scripture.
