The Coming Day of the LORD

The prophet Zephaniah declares the coming Day of the Lord in which both Israel and the nations will be judged by God for their sin. In chapters 1 and 2 we learn about the coming Day of the Lord:

The only escape is to hide in Yahweh himself, specifically, in the coming anointed One, Jesus our Lord, who would redeem God's people as they hide in him from the wrath to come.
