God's Perfect Will Is To Make His People Perfect

The theme of this text is that God has promised to make His people perfect by the priesthood of Jesus Christ. The writer teaches us six things that communicate this assurance to us:

1. God keeps His promises.
2. God wants us to have strong encouragement to hold onto our hope of everlasting life by faith in Jesus Christ.
3. God promised to appoint His Son as a priest forever.
4. The priesthood of Jesus Christ is greater than Abraham and the Levitical priests.
5. The priesthood of Jesus Christ changed the entire system of Old Testament law.
6. As our High Priest, Jesus makes us perfect and saves us completely.
