Messiah!

Men and women, who are running to be the next President of the United States, select specific locations to make their official announcements. Some choose places to show their humble roots; others to make a statement; and still others to appeal to certain segments of the electorate. So, why did Jesus choose to make his only public declaration of being the Messiah to a Samaritan woman at a well outside of Sychar? Why did he choose this location and not Jerusalem or Nazareth or Rome? How did Jesus reveal to this woman His true identity? This sermon traces the Samaritan woman's journey in understanding who Jesus is-- from Jewish man to Messiah-- and what she learns along the way about true worship of the Father.
