The Great Tribulation

Aim: To be encouraged today, by the fact that God preserved His church through the great tribulation.

Exegesis: Christ's grace abounded, even in the great tribulation. God provided the alarm (vv. 14-18) and relief (vv. 19-20) for His church. Christ's glory abounded, even in the great tribulation. Jesus is King over His own church (vv. 21-23), over His enemies (vv. 24-26), and of His gospel (v. 27). Christ's guidance abounded, even in the great tribulation. He revealed the historical (vv. 28-29) and the time (v. 30) parameters.

Key verse: v. 30 ''Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.''
