The Second Oracle - The Lord's Review of Israel's Hypocrisy

The Lord's second oracular message to Zechariah built upon its predecessor. Specifically, it elaborated on verse 7 by identifying what He meant by the "words He'd proclaimed by the former prophets." That "word of the Lord" was Israel's obligation to one another as Yahweh's covenant people - the word which they refused and disobeyed and which incurred His wrath and punishment.
