Where to Find God

Aim: To be ''cut to the quick'' by ''true religion''; and hence to enjoy God's fellowship.

Exegesis: God is not found in heartless ''obedience.'' The Lord does not need religion (v. 1) nor help (v. 2a). God is found in heartfelt obedience (v. 2b), which is honored by His presence, precious in His sight, and irresistable to His grace.

Key phrase: v. 2b ''...But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.''
