The Sympathy of Christ

Christians have a unique confession, that Jesus of Nazareth is God made man. Amidst all the pressures to compromise this confession, we have the encouragement of a great High Priest, who is this same Jesus, who has gone into the heavenly sanctuary for us. While we may be tempted then to think of him as distant, in fact he is with us, and full of sympathy. Therefore we have confidence to come to God's throne, since it is through Christ a throne of grace.
