The Apostle and His Role

Paul is an Apostle of Jesus Christ and that permeates everything he says and writes. Paul wrote at least three letters to the Corinthians, located in one of the most important, very large, and very corrupt cities of the Roman Empire. God chose only to include two of these letters in His Word. We will take two studies to cover the first three verses of 1st Corinthians. He wrote this letter because he heard there were quarrels among the Corinthians. Paul also wrote about issues they had asked him about, starting with Chap. 7., giving them divine revelation on those matters. We'll have a detailed look at Paul's role as an Apostle. Apostles were a divinely appointed group of men to represent Jesus Christ and spread the message about Him. It was God's initiative and action that resulted in Paul being called as an Apostle. Paul is the last Apostle. There are no more Apostles. We do not need any new revel
ation from God nor will we get it. Our Bibles are complete.
