Righteous In Christ By Faith Alone

Text: John 3:16, Heidelberg Catechism L.D. 23

Our Catechism tonight makes practical all of the instruction that it has given us covering the 12 Articles of the Apostles' Creed. All this Biblical truth is meant to teach us that it is only by true faith in Jesus Christ that we are made righteous before God.

1. True faith as stressed by John:

   c. Fiducia

2. True faith as stressed by the Heidelberg Catechism:
   a. Righteous in Christ.
   b. Righteous in Christ by true faith.
   c. Righteous in Christ by true faith alone.
