We cannot, by ourselves, understand God any more than an insect that we
hold in our hand can understand us. Nor can we as humans condescend
down to the level of an insect and make ourselves known to it. But God
can condescend and God has condescended, and because He condescended, He has communicated with us on a level that we can understand.
