Forgiveness, Received and Given

The fifth petition of the Lord's Prayer is a vital and sorely needed commodity for us who
yet live in this fallen and sin-filled world. One day we will no longer need forgiveness
ourselves, nor will we need to grant it to others. But until the new heaven and earth
arrives we still need to ask for this forgiveness and also practice this forgiveness. In
order to do this aright, we need to:

1. Understand our own relationship with God.

2. Understand our own relationship with others.
