The Responsibility of Reconciliation

The Church is required to confront injustice but to do so in the way that exalts Christ; not promoting anarchy.

1. The Church is called to maintain unity with affection and
   compassion.
2. How the Church responds to injustice directly affects its preaching of the Gospel.
3. This preaching of the Gospel appeals to people to do what is right and useful (six specific points of action)
   a. The Church is to appeal by the authority of God's grace, not its own earthly position.
   b.The Church appeals that people take personal responsibility for their actions.
   c.The Church appeals that people value others as individuals made in the image of God.
   d.The Church appeals that people tangibly demonstrate the grace that we ourselves have received.
   e.The Church appeals that people react to the world in an eternally better way.
   f.The Church appeals to these matters and very public ways.
