The Supremacy of Christ: Reconciler

In Colossians 1:15-23 Paul shows us three aspects of the supremacy of Christ. Verses 15-17 revealed that Christ is the supreme Creator. Moving from the physical realm of Christ's being the firstborn of Creation into the spiritual realm, verses 18-20 focus on the aspect of Christ's being the supreme Reconciler. He is the supreme Reconciler because of His position (as head of the church, firstborn from the dead and ruler of everything), His person, and His work (as reconciler, peacemaker, and sin bearer).
