Our Ministry Manifesto; Part Four; Completion

As we complete our series entitled, 'Our Ministry Manifesto' we come now to part 4, God's glorious intention for His beloved church -- '...that we may present every man complete in Christ.'

Why do we publicly proclaim Him? What is the driving purpose for every joyful exhortation? What is the tender motive behind every private, heartfelt admonition? What is the ultimate reason for all of our painstaking instruction in the church? It is, as Paul reminds us, 'that we may present every man complete in Christ.'

The salvation story is a presentation story. God had a plan to save a people--a peculiar people--that He gave as a love gift to His Son. The Son would play the pivotal role in the plan of salvation by sacrificing His own life for the lives all who were given to Him by the Father.

Following His resurrection, the Son sent the Holy Spirit to indwell His chosen people in order to illuminate them to His Word and to empower them to grow into the kind of people God wants them to be: Like His Son (Ro. 8:29).

Upon His return, the Son will finish the work in glorification and present all God's children--unblemished...without spot or wrinkle--to the Father in glory (Eph. 5:25-27.
