Is the Gospel Relevant Today?

In the prevalent Post-Modern mindset of Western societies there is no such thing as ultimate truth because each person decides what is truth for himself. Yet the gospel of Jesus Christ confronts all humanity with three inescapable facts: 1) the universal reality of death, 2) a man (Jesus) who had power over death, and 3) the claims of this man to be the Son of God which were validated by his resurrection from the dead. The church, as God's ambassadors, is called to proclaim these realities to our generation and declare to our contemporaries that because God raised his Son from the dead, they are commanded to repent of sin and believe the Gospel.
