Bringing Apostasy Into the Light

Q: How is it that such things as this asceticism have managed to continue to be an important influence in the interaction of men and of God?

I. There is a root of true evil in the sin of apostasy. [particularly as long as the apostate remains]

depart: spiritual and physical asceticism: more holy than God, more scriptural than the Bible
2. Apostasy produces an evil corruption as false religion. (v.2)
