The Maid Servant of Boaz

According to the law of Israel Ruth had a legitimate claim on Boaz to fulfill the role of kinsman-redeemer and to take her as his wife. Boaz took no shelter under the circumstances of his age or her Gentile heritage but he declared himself ready to keep the kinsman's part in Ruth's behalf. He is not hesitant to enter the necessary service to be her kinsman. We who have true faith also have a loving kinsman-redeemer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
