[07/31/2022 PM] - "Ruling During the Millennium" - Revelation 20:4-6

This past Sunday evening sermon we continued our series in Revelation and our Reformed Standards. We will pick up in that book where we were last Sunday night, taking now Rev. 20.4-6 with Heidelberg Catechism Lord's day 22., question and answer 57. In this text we consider what those who died in Christ are doing now, before Christ returns? This text and sermon should provide great comfort to us - pray for that!!

Theme: The faithful, at death, are resurrected to rule with Jesus Christ the King

1. While verses 1-3 are occurring on earth now, verses 4-6 are in heaven now

2. Those given authority had been faithful to death while in the body

3. When the faithful die, they are resurrected to intimate nearness to God, to rule
