The Holy Spirit

This sermon takes up the section on the Holy Spirit in the Nicene Creed which states:
And we believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life.
He proceeds from the Father,
and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets.
This sermon outlines some of the major truths regarding the gentle but strong Spirit of God, such as his personality, his Lordship, and his eternal procession from the Father. He is the Giver of all life, both physical and spiritual. Only he can change the sinful hearts of humans by entering therein and bringing spiritual life and complete reorientation away from self to God. To know more of the Spirit's person and work creates appreciation and love for him, as well as sensitivity to his guidance, correction, and Lordship.
