A Will to Build

The people who returned from the Babylonian exile might easily have wondered whether God’s purpose was abandoned. But the exile should have convinced them otherwise. That was just what God had said He would do if the people were not faithful. Now that God had brought them back to the promised land they needed to set their affections on His and learn to walk faithfully with Him. He is the same God today as He was then and He is carrying our His purposes so we should join Him in seeking to build His Kingdom for His glory.
