The Gospel Remembered

101 ( 79 | 22 )

Drastic change is initiated in the life of one who puts their trust in Jesus Christ. Some of that change takes place immediately, some happens over time. When a person is “born again,” God himself takes up residence in people. God actually dwells in us by His wonderful Holy Spirit. But life happens and circumstances come, and sometimes progress seems elusive. So, if God is living in me, why is sin such an annoyance or struggle or battle? Did something go wrong when I got saved? And when I sin, is God angry with me? Does He still want me? "Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1–2 HCSB)
