Abraham: Protected Before Grace Is Revealed

God's grace is far-reaching. In eternity-past God elected a people for Himself. On the cross Christ innocently suffered as their sin-bearer. Grace is revealed when God effectually calls them to repentance and faith. But, another place to see God's grace is before the revelation. God doesn't permit His people to be wholly lost to their natural religion. The old preachers called this prevenient grace.
