Faith Followed by Famine

In the beginning of Genesis 12, we read of one of Abram's great displays of faith, in leaving his homeland at the bare word of God. He believed that God would give him a land and bless him. But then came famine -- testing -- and failure. But when all seemed hopeless, God graciously intervened! The story is intended to give warning and foster faith in the hearers of Moses' generation, and in ours.
