1) Christians must be united in their particular church. Contentions must be quickly addressed, and ultimately resolved. (1Corinthians 1:10,11; Acts 6:1-7)
2) Jesus Christ is Lord and the Bible is HIS word. Regardless of how useful a theological system is, theologians are not to be worshipped. Before we are Lutheran, Calvinist, or Arminian, we are Christians. Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again to destroy the works of the Devil, not a “Church Father”. (1 Corinthians 1:12-16; John 1:19-34)
3) All Christians can meet at the foot of the cross. We do not meet under a false ecumenical banner, and compromise the Gospel. How can we sign ecumenical documents with the Vatican, and try and hunt down Reformed Pastors? How can Reformed congregations allow Masonic Pastors, and exclude Arminians from the flock. (1 Corinthians 1:17; Philippians 1:12-18; Galatians 2:11-21)
