Effective Ministry: The Exaltation of Christ

The writer of Hebrews says: “God, after He spoke…in the prophets…in these last days has spoken to us in His Son.” (Hebrews 1:1-2) That demanded a transition; John the Baptist would be the last of the “old” and would work to build a smooth transition to the “new”. One principle had to be manifest in John's life and testimony: “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
